In a recent editorial for the Atlanta Constitution, education writer Maureen Downey takes a thoughtful look at the current teacher evaluation system in Georgia. Can teachers be fairly evaluated in a system based on a law that requires at least 50% of a teacher’s evaluation score to be tied student scores on high-stakes tests?
